The Association of Italian Manufacturers, later called Institute for the Protection of Italian Manufacturers, was born in 1999 with the aim of safeguarding, enhancing and promoting products that are entirely made in Italy.
Over the years, in order to safeguard this kind of goods, the Institute has created several ways and means of which the most important was the setting up of the “100% Made in Italy” Certificate (2002) and the establishment of the National Register of Italian Manufacturers.
But the Institute went even further. In order to promote Italian manufacturing, it committed itself to creating a solid system of exchanging information between manufacturers and consumers, such as:
– the “Made In Italy Observatory”, a Website that provides information concerning the “Made in Italy” sector;
– “Produttori.net”, a Website that gives consumers information on new collections, products;
– “Produttoritaliani.org”, a Website that finds, selects and communicates potential clients to Italian manufacturers;
– the Raffaello Award – in Italian “Premio Raffaello”, established in 2009 in order to award the manufacturers that every day, through their high quality work, contribute toward safeguarding, enhancing and promoting the “Made in Italy” mark.
Last but not least, the “Made in Italy” Ethical Code.
